Suggestions of hymns to accompany the lectionary throughout December are now available on the website. Just click on the calendar on the right hand side for the date you need. Included are suggestions for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and for New Year’s Eve / Watchnight services.

We have also posted three new hymns suitable for use at this time of year:

We do not look for angel choirs and We wait in hope for hope to come by the Revd Gareth Hill, and
And I will wait now by Laurence Wareing

Remember that all our hymns published on Singing the Faith Plus are listed by theme in a single, convenient contents list.

Looking ahead, Hymns for Covenant and renewal offers hymn ideas for use during a Covenant Service, which many Methodist congregations hold early in the New Year. Re-visit hymns by John and Charles Wesley and get to know new ones by Andrew Pratt and Gillian Collins.
