Although Christ took his leave of the disciples in his Ascension he is still mindful of them and us. In the Gospel we read that in our unity we experience the closeness of the Trinity, but that has a dual purpose: 1) we experience God’s glory and love, which 2) results in the world being led to believe. The psalm speaks of the preservation and deliverance of the saints, exemplified in the Acts reading. Both saints and those who testify are mentioned in the Revelation reading.
