    The credits in StF 480 say “Scottish Psalter 1929. Surely not!

      You’re right, Phil, this paraphrase is a good deal older than the 1929 Scottish Psalter. It seems to date (in published form at least) from the 1650 edition of the Scottish Psalter. I assume, however, that once copyright came into force this was introduced and updated with subsequent editions of the Psalter – and imagine that 1929 is the first edition to which copyright applies. Others may have a slightly more nuanced account of that process.
